About Toby Nelson Dermatology
Toby qualified from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2007. He served as a Medical Officer in the British Army for nine years. He remains a member of the Army Reserves, currently serving as the only dermatologist in the British Army. He worked in the West Midlands and North Yorkshire and gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians in 2012.
Toby completed higher specialist training in Dermatology in Wessex becoming a Consultant in 2017. Toby then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology in New Zealand, gaining membership to the American college of Mohs Surgery (ACMS). Toby is one of only eleven dermatological surgeons in the UK with this prestigious accreditation.
